History of Lenwood | hopeful vision

Built in 1959 the first owner of Lenwood was George Washingon Jones, an engineer with IBM. Mr Jones and his family lived in the house until his death in 2005. For the next 10 years the house was basicly empty with the family members visiting 3 or 4 times a year.

The first challege was to find the house behind all the over grown trees. The previous owner thought that more was better.

I the case of trees and brush, more is a hazard to the house.

Other than the necessary upkeep, the house was unchanged until 1972 when the sunroom addition was attached off of the kitchen.
